About Me

I live in the Midwest, where I work at a tiny software company that you’ve probably never heard of. I’ve got a family with between two and forty-three people (you’ll have to guess the exact number), which keeps me busy. This blog is mostly about my fiction writing, with potential occasional excursions into linguistics, language creation, or politics. If you’re not interested in any of these things, I guarantee you that this blog will be exceedingly boring. (I make no promises that it isn’t exceedingly boring even if you are interested.)

You can also find me at the Boar’s Head Tavern, if you’re interested in cranky quasi-theological talk, and at Stack Overflow if you’re interested in computer programming Q&A. I’m also the author of Phonix, a domain-specific language for modeling historical sound changes.

You can email me at jsbangs (at) gmail.
