That’s a good story… Tea paty, though? Are you reclaiming it for the Wonderlandians from today’s Tea Partiers?
Or is it meant to be a future-imagining of the evolution of the Tea Party?
Neither. The story was first written so long ago that the Tea Party wasn’t even a thing when I wrote the first draft. After the Tea Party became significant in real-world politics I thought of changing the name of the group in the story, but I was really attached to the name of the Mad Hatter and so decided to leave it alone.
